Ephemeral states (2013)

This project tackles the ideas of change, movement, conversion, distortion, metamorphosis, refinement, evolution … from one state to another. Our entire life is made of passing and unique moments which cannot be encountered again or reconstructed. Something is always different.
By its nature, the photograph captures a unique moment in time, a particular frame from the reality we are experiencing and makes it a ‘continuous present’ (G. Clarke). We face an eternal contradiction which reminds us of the magic of photography.
